Brands You Trust: KitchenAid
KitchenAid kitchen appliance
KitchenAid has spent decades creating innovative products for the well-equipped kitchen. From commercial grade cooktops and wine cellars to stand mixers and an impressive assortment of cookware, bakeware and accessories, we offer virtually every culinary essential you could need.

It started as a way to make large quantities of bread dough for the military during World War I. It became an icon of classic design, showcased in museum exhibits in the United States and Europe. And its name came from one of its earliest users, who proclaimed, "I don't care what you call it -- it's the best kitchen aid I've ever had."

Virtually synonymous with versatility, reliability, and durability, KitchenAid built its reputation on its classic stand mixer and has leveraged that success and expertise to create food processors, coffeemakers and a range of accessories that convert that powerhouse mixer into a vegetable slicer, meat grinder, sausagestuffer, and pasta maker.

This diverse product offering grew out of one man's efforts to make a labor-saving device for mixing bread dough. It was 1908 when Herbert Johnson, an engineer, presided over the development of an 80-quart mixer. After World War I ended, the Ohio-based Hobart Manufacturing Co. began producing the first in a long series of non-commercial stand mixers that featured "planetary action". This innovative appliance was called the H-5 until an employee's wife gave her legendary testimonial -- and the rest is history.

I make a lot of sausage, and it's important to keep everything cold cold cold while mixing, grinding, stuffing. This, filled with ice, is the perfect accessory when mixing my ingredients.
