This curling iron was a pleasant surprise! Since it is only 1/2", I do not use it as my primary curling iron, but it's a pleasure to use when I do use it. I have very fine hair, and need an iron that can be set to very low heat, and this one certainly works that way. Also, the handle is really well designed - small diameter, with "rings" all around, so it is really easy to hang on to. The whole thing is also quite lightweight, which might be a consideration for people with hand and wrist problems.
