It works just fine. But like any appliance that is programmable, it should have battery backup in case of a power failure. Resetting everything with every little power hit is very annoying.

It makes a perfect pot of coffee, the basket never pops out(it has notches that fit like a puzzle to stay in place). I set the timer the night before and it starts when I set it to start and I have a great pot of coffee waiting for me when I wake up.
