This is the second one that I bought. I've had my other one for 4 years in my kitchen but my husband wanted to use it in his workshop. I therefore needed another one. I like it because it folds very thin, it's sturdy and it's neat looking. Once I figured out that I had to lift up on the red tab to close it, it was always easy to open and close it. Because it folds so slim, it was easy to find a home for it in my kitchen. I would only recommend it for someone who is steady on their feet as it has no hand support when climbing up the steps.

The item I received was twisted out of square. Other than that it is fine Step stool.
